Visa
All foreign delegates should posses a valid passport
and a visa for India. Indian Consulates will be requested to ensure
prompt issue of visa for the delegates. Delegates who opt to visit
Kathmandu, Nepal will require a double entry visa for India and
Nepal
Customs Regulation
On arrival to India/Nepal customs formalities need
to be completed. Airports operate the conventional green and red
channels. Valuable articles such as videos and cameras may be brought
in subject re-export and should be declared to the customs authorities.
Duty free shopping for tobacco, cigarettes, perfumes, liquor and
many other products is available on arrival and departure at all
international airports.
Currency Regulations
There are no restrictions on the amount of foreign
currency (or traveler cheques) a person may bring into India, However,
the participants are advised to check whether on arrival whether
currency declaration is required. Facilities for change of foreign
currencies are available at the international airport, banks and
most of the hotels. The participants are advised to bring their
money in convertible currencies and to exchange money only through
authorized dealers.
